Cellulite Myth # 1: Women are the only ones who can get cellulite.
Cellulite Fact: This is a completely wrong notion since men disregard themselves as being free from these problems, fact is, men also get cellulite. Cellulite might affect majority of women but it can also a man’s flawless reputation. No wonder there are a lot of men in the United States alone that seek for cellulite treatment.
The medical explanation for men having cellulite is due to the androgen hormone running through their bodies. When this hormone lowers, the chances of getting cellulite increase. The main reason why women have a more prominent cellulite upbringing is due to their body structure. They have a different way of organizing fat. Unlike men that organize fat parallel to skin, women are actually perpendicular. This formation in women causes fats to be pulled down on skin which creates bumpy structures that are known as cellulite.
Cellulite Myth # 2: Cellulite can be eliminated through exercise.
Cellulite Fact: Although exercise keeps the body in shape and keeps away toxins from the body, it doesn’t necessarily mean that it can destroy the cellulite. This is because cellulite are commonly caused by genetic and hormonal factors that no exercise can manage. On the other hand, exercise is very helpful in either managing or preventing cellulite preventing but not to be considered as a cure for the condition.
Cellulite Myth # 3: Turn to a cellulite diet.
Cellulite Fact: There is no such thing. Even if fatty foods can contribute to the formation of cellulite, it doesn’t hold the larger percent of the cause. More so, there is no such thing as a food that can flush cellulite away or typically reduce it. However, there are healthy benefits of eating a right diet and minimizing fat ingestion is a basic factor.
Cellulite Myth # 4: Cellulite can be eliminated through liposuction.
Cellulite Fact: This is very unpleasing for those who have trusted liposuction as a wonderful answer to such predicament. Unfortunately, this much loved philosophy by numerous people is not true. The truth is, liposuction actually make things worse! How? Going back to basic information, cellulite is fat formed superficially which means that fat is just underneath the top skin layer. Liposuction, on the other hand, will not reach this part of the skin for it just removes fat residing in deeper skin layers. Once liposuction is done, the fat is then pushed towards the top of the skin making it more visible with an ugly flabby look. This is definitely not the result one desires.
